Love In Chains Unleash “Good Lovin’” — Pre-Save Now!
Classic hard rock attitude. Big guitars. Powerful vocals. And a whole lot of Good Lovin’.
Rob Kane is back with Love In Chains, the melodic hard rock project he co-founded with guitarist Mike Floros, for the new single “Good Lovin’” and the band’s upcoming full-length album of the same name.
Rooted in the spirit of classic ’80s hard rock but driven by polished modern production, Love In Chains delivers guitar-driven rock packed with memorable hooks, powerful vocals, layered harmonies, and choruses that stick with you long after the music stops.
Mike Floros: The Guitarist Behind the Sound
At the heart of Love In Chains is guitarist, songwriter, and founding member Mike Floros, whose musical vision and guitar work help define the band's sound.
Mike first picked up the guitar as a teenager, inspired in large part by KISS and the playing of Ace Frehley and Vinnie Vincent. His influences also include Europe guitarists John Norum and Kee Marcello, whose melodic leads and songwriting helped shape his approach to hard rock. The result is a style that blends expressive lead playing, memorable riffs, melodic sensibility, and the larger-than-life energy of classic arena rock.
Mike is also the founder and principal songwriter of SteelCity, the melodic hard rock band named in tribute to his Youngstown, Ohio, roots. Through SteelCity, he developed a reputation for writing music that honors the classic hard rock tradition while bringing its sound into the modern era. The band's releases include Fortress, Mach II, and Reverence.
Mike's songwriting and guitar playing provide the foundation for Love In Chains, while his backing vocals and creative direction help shape the band's distinctive identity. His partnership with Rob brings together two musicians who share a passion for strong melodies, powerful performances, and hard rock that puts the song first.
Guy Cole Joins Love In Chains on Drums
Love In Chains has also added Guy Cole on drums, bringing a new dimension to the band's lineup alongside Rob Kane and Mike Floros.
The drums are a vital part of what makes melodic hard rock work: the power behind the riffs, the drive that carries a song forward, and the dynamic shifts that make a big chorus hit even harder. Guy's place in the lineup helps complete the band's instrumental foundation, supporting the heavy guitars, melodic vocals, and energetic arrangements that define the Love In Chains sound.
From a Forgotten Recording to “Good Lovin’”
Sometimes the best songs come from unexpected places.
According to Mike Floros, “Good Lovin’” began when he was digging through his digital recording sessions and rediscovered a track he had written but forgotten about. The music was already complete. When he sent it to Rob Kane, the response was immediate: the song had something special.
Rob quickly developed the lyrics, refining them further while recording the vocals. What began as a forgotten recording became the title track and lead single for the new album. The result captures what Love In Chains does best: combining memorable melodic songwriting with the energy, attitude, and punch of classic hard rock.
Rob Kane: The Voice of Love In Chains
Known for his powerful, expressive tenor and melodic approach to hard rock, Rob Kane brings his signature vocal style to Love In Chains. On "Good Lovin'" Rob contributes lead and backing vocals as well as bass, bringing together his vocal performance and instrumental experience to help drive the band's sound.
Rob and Mike originally joined forces to create Love In Chains, combining their shared appreciation for classic melodic hard rock. Their releases include the album Everyday Heroes and The Rust Belt EP, building the foundation for a project dedicated to big guitars, strong melodies, and timeless rock energy.
With Good Lovin’, the band continues that evolution with a polished production approach while retaining the hooks and larger-than-life attitude that inspired the project in the first place.
